 My name is Jerry Lee, and I am a Republican who is running for the Post 4 seat on the Floyd County Board of Commissioners. 

I was encouraged by friends and family members to seek this seat because of the current economic strains our county faces and my background in dealing with tough financial decisions. After prayerful consideration and consultation with my family, I decided to seek this postion knowing that hard times require common sense solutions and grounded decision making.  

I have spent my whole career in the financial service industry managing multi-million dollar budgets, and now more than ever the county commission needs someone who has the experience to cut waste, keep the budget balanced, and manage our financial resources. At every level of government, our economy dictates that we make tough fiscal decisions. I have the experience of making difficult decisions, managing employees, and finding ways to save financial resources in tough times.

As your voice on the commission, I will work to:

-      Manage the county’s budget with fiscal discipline,

-      Prioritize spending and cut waste,

-      Work to bring good jobs to our county, and

-      Protect our families and our values.
